First visit

A first visit for men, step by step

  • Book your visit

Book online and choose a service by its length. Not sure what to pick? Choose the 60-minute Swedish massage, tell us what you want from it, and we will adjust as we go.

  • What to bring

Yourself, and anything you want us to know: an injury, an allergy, a spot to leave alone. We have robes, towels and lockers.

  • When you arrive

Come ten minutes early. Park behind the building and come in by the side door. Your therapist meets you in the lounge with a glass of water.

  • What to expect

Your therapist asks about pressure and where to work, you undress to your comfort under a sheet, and we check in halfway. Say stop and we stop.

Pressure scale

Light, medium, firm: what each one means

Pick a word before you start and change it whenever you like. We check in halfway.

  • Light

Slow, broad strokes that warm the muscle. You can talk or doze. A good choice for a first visit, or a day when everything is sore.

    • Long, flowing strokes

    • Easy to doze through

  • Medium

Steady pressure that reaches the muscle without effort on your part. A common place to start, and easy to move from.

    • Works the larger muscles

    • Say more or less at any time

  • Firm

Slow, deep work into the places you hold tension, with time spent where you ask. It should feel like work being done, never sharp.

    • Thumbs, forearms and elbows

    • If it turns sharp, tell us and we ease off

Facials

Every facial starts with a short skin check, and we tell you what we use.

  • Express facial

    30 min

A skin check, cleanse, a mask and moisturizer. A quick reset on a weekday.

    Book: Express facial
  • Classic facial

    60 min

A skin check, cleanse, steam, gentle extractions, a mask and a face, neck and shoulder massage.

    Book: Classic facial

Prices are set by the spa and shown when you book, next to each service and length.

The lounge

Come early, stay a while after

We restored a brick building and kept it dim and quiet: a long leather bench, a window onto the trees, water and tea on a tray. Arrive ten minutes before your time and take your time on the way out.

  • Water and tea in the lounge

  • Lockers for your things

  • Phones on silent

A lounge with a long leather bench under a window, a plant in a pot and a shelf of folded towels

From guests

What they say afterward

“I put it off for months because I did not know what to ask for. Amos had me pick a word for the pressure and that was the whole decision.”

Raymond O.

“Quiet, no sales talk, and I knew what I was getting before I lay down. I booked the next one on the way out.”

Wes T.

“Cary explained every step of the facial and what was in each product. I have never had that at a spa.”

Idris M.
